Rhythm is present everywhere in nature

When inanimate objects that move in a regular pattern in a given place move at the same rhythm, they eventually interact with each other and exhibit common movements as a whole. Many animals accompany the rhythm when they hear it by clapping, moving their bodies, or producing harmonious sounds.

Rhythm also accompanies some of the oldest common activities of the human species. The music used in rituals is often based on strong rhythms. Rhythm brings people together, making them feel like a larger whole, just as it does with inanimate objects. This is why rhythm often accompanies people who dance, pray, or chant slogans together. Wherever they need to feel one.
